When a VA leaves your business, we suggest that you block and cancel access to any ongoing work and plan to complete transition steps during the handover period.
Just as when any other employee leaves a company, you will need to reset all passwords and revoke access to any software associated with your business. HR can support you with this.
Have a process in place to offboard correctly and provide an ample notice period, so your VA doesn’t feel like they’ve been cut off and alienated. Have a conversation to set expectations. After all, you wouldn’t want to show up for work one day and find out that your access has been suddenly revoked without notice or warning. This approach should only be taken in extreme cases.
