Virtual Assistant FAQs

Will I need to purchase any equipment for my VA?

One of the best things about hiring a Virtual Assistant is that the VAs will come prepared with the equipment they need based on your initial job post — as long as the request is realistic. It’s not necessary to upgrade your VA’s equipment. However, in some situations, a better-quality headset/webcam or an extra desktop monitor can help your VA be more productive at work.

The typical equipment provided by the VA includes the following:

  • Noise-canceling headphones
  • Laptop
  • Mouse
  • Keyboard
  • Backup source for Internet access

Any additional equipment you require them to have needs to be purchased at the cost of your business.

Requesting equipment

If you require your VA to have specific equipment for the position you’re offering, you may request it in your initial job post.

If the position requires additional equipment, software subscriptions, etc. after the VA’s role becomes active, then, depending on the request, you’ll need to provide those at your own cost. For example, you don’t need to provide a dual screen if you put it in your initial job request. Instead, we can hire a VA who is prepared with the right setup for the job.

Should you need to provide additional equipment, our team on the ground in the Philippines is happy to help. We can source the equipment, pay for it, and charge your card on file. Then, we can manage the shipping and delivery to ensure it gets into the hands of your VA.
